In this research meeting, we will hear from two speakers about the “genetics of talent in the arts, a critical perspective”. The speakers are:
- Giacomo Bignardi: Genetic effects on variability in visual aesthetic evaluations are partially shared across visual domains (https://www.nature.com/articles/s42003-023-05710-4)
- Laura Wesseldijk: Notes from Beethoven’s genome
Giacomo is affiliated with the Language & Genetics Department of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen. Laura is affiliated with the Behavioral Genetics Unit of the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt am Main and the Department of Psychiatry of the Amsterdam UMC.
The meeting will take place online.
