I am a PhD candidate in Biological Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam(the Netherlands) under the supervision of Dr. Michel Nivard, Dr. Elsje van Bergen, and Prof. Dorret Boomsma. In my thesis, provisionally titled “Genetic as a research tool: a natural experiment to elucidate the causal effects of social mobility on health”, I use state-of-the-art statistical genetics methods and family designs to disentangle mechanisms of the intergenerational transmission of mental health and education.
